The Youth United Way of Southeast Missouri granted more than $12,000 to local not-for-profit organizations during a banquet May 12 at the Cape Girardeau Country Club. The money raised by the Youth United Way was awarded to Cape Area Family Resource Center, Safe House for Women, The Salvation Army and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Youth United Way members raise money throughout the school year and then allocate the funds to local not-for-profit organizations.
