Cape Girardeau School District utilizes questionnaires/surveys to help identify migratory children in the district, following the identification procedures set forth by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

The district assesses the educational and related health and social needs of each identified migrant student and gives the student full access to all programs ordinarily provided all other children to meet their needs.  These include Title I, special education, gifted education, vocational education, English for speakers of other languages, counseling programs, elective classes, fine art classes, etc.
