Even though our school district remains closed on Thursday, we want to take a moment to say thank you to our maintenance team. They have been working hard in the cold to clear the snow from our school sidewalks and parking lots. Please thank them when you see them after school opens again!

Under the direction of Josh LaMar, the 8th Grade Jazz Band from Terry W. Kitchen Central Junior High recently performed a 40-minute set for the residents of Chateau Girardeau. These talented musicians have been preparing for two months. We proudly have three jazz bands at Cape Girardeau Public Schools, two at the high school and one at the junior high.

Today was a special day for one of our 8th-grade musician! Thanks to an anonymous donor, Dominick Wilson received a brand-new Baritone Saxophone that he’ll play through high school. 🎷
