It’s a family affair at the Missouri Class 4 State Cross Country Championship!

Cape Central High School senior Jamie Dawson-Ide and her younger brother, freshman Braylon Coleman, will represent the Tigers at the state championship at Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia.

Jamie and Braylon punched their tickets to compete against Missouri's top high school runners after both set personal records at Districts.

Before leaving for Columbia, the siblings sat down with us to reflect on their seasons, share their excitement about competing at state, and talk about what it’s like to share a passion for running. Along the way, a little friendly sibling rivalry made its way into the conversation!

While Jamie and Braylon may have a competitive streak, they’ll both be representing Cape Central with Tiger pride on Friday, November 6th.

Cape Girardeau Public Schools congratulates these talented student-athletes on their accomplishments and wishes them the best of luck at the state championship. We're already proud of you!

Go Tigers!
