We've been hard at work over the summer months preparing for a fantastic 2022-2023 school year. We cannot say enough about the work of our custodians and maintenance team. They've spent countless hours making our buildings and campuses beautiful. Our dedicated teachers and administrators have been busy preparing for students, too. Please thank them if you see them when you visit our campuses this school year. We have a great group of people who take pride in their work.
Here are a few things to know this year as we draw closer to our August 24th start date:
- The first day of school is a Wednesday, which means we will be dismissing early that day for teacher collaboration. Please check with your schools to make sure you know the correct dismissal times.
- Breakfast and lunch will be FREE for all students again this year! We are very excited to be able to continue to provide this to our students.
- If you're reading this, obviously you noticed we've upgraded our website. Please be patient with us as we continue to clean up a few things like old documents and broken links that might have popped up. If you see something that needs to be fixed, please email Kristin Tallent at tallentk@capetigers.com.
- We also have a new app! Everything Cape Girardeau Public Schools in your pocket!

- If you filled out a form to receive support with school supplies, there is nothing else you need to do. The school supplies will be waiting for your student at school on Day 1.
